Application Operations Manager in Bucuresti

We are looking for an experienced Platform Application Operations Manager for one of our clients in Switzerland. This is a contract role with a hybrid work model. Contract: initially 12 months long, with the possibility of long-term growth and career development. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for managing Global Data Platform components, including virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, Kafka systems, and associated applications like the Apache stack, Collibra, Dataiku, and others. Your duties will include: Supporting and implementing Collibra APIs and services Administering Collibra, including user management and access control Configuring and maintaining Collibra Edge Servers Handling documentation for solution designs, security frameworks, and blueprints Collaborating as part of the team to integrate into the CI/CD pipeline Defining and managing processes for development, testing, release, updates, and support in a DevOps environment Performing incident management and conducting root cause analysis Monitoring customer experience and key performance indicators (KPIs) Your profile: Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing cluster environments, including Kubernetes and distributed storage systems like S3 or HDFS Experience in the financial industry is a plus Strong background in administering systems and applications in Unix/Linux environments Hands-on experience working with complex data ecosystems, covering everything from data integration to data consumption and master data management (MDM) Proficiency in advanced Scripting using Bash or Python Expertise in working with APIs and web services Experience in virtual machine setup and scaling, Kubernetes scaling, managing Docker with Harbor, and collaborating with development teams to push images through CI/CD pipelines
