Top 10 Responsibilities of the Role: Overseeing the financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and tax legislation. Preparing and verifying financial and accounting documents, while ensuring their correct processing within the company. Managing cash flow, overseeing payments and collections in both local and foreign currencies. Preparing the annual financial statements and monthly trial balance reports. Handling financial and tax reporting to ANAF (The National Agency for Fiscal Administration) and other relevant authorities, in accordance with legal requirements. Supervising and implementing legislative changes in the accounting system. Organizing and overseeing annual inventory procedures and ensuring proper asset valuation. Conducting financial analyses by cost center and presenting the findings to senior management. Maintaining relationships with external partners, including banks, ANAF, DITL (Local Tax Administration Office), and other institutions. Continuously improving financial processes to enhance operational efficiency within the hotel. Chief Accountant Job Requirements: • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a Chief Accountant role. Experience in hospitality accounting is an advantage; • Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax legislation; • Experience with accounting software (preferably iScala or equivalent) and MS Office Suite; • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills; • Strong communication and leadership abilities; • Fluency in English is an advantage.
