Your day to day:As part of the European Vodafone Network Operation (VNO) Organization and included into Cloud&OSS department, Infrastructure & OS team is responsible for the maintenance of I&OS systems/Recovery/CyberVault Infrastructure and Operating System in Cloud Ops environment for GermanyWith these activities you will have a significant impact on our business:Managing, supporting, and administrating I&OS systems/Recovery/CyberVault platforms for Cloud environment in GermanyPerforming troubleshooting and error handling for , Database and HW infrastructure layers on I&OS systems and the related infrastructure. Administrating the I&OS systems processes and policy according with the Vodafone Cyber Security policies. Change and problem management for I&OS systems/Recovery/Cyber Vault platforms (, DB and HW infrastructure).Evaluating new versions, firmware, and patches. Implementing major upgrades and security patches regularly for I&OS systems/Recovery/Cyber Vault platformsDiscussing platform evolution with vendors and design teams. Providing assistance in new projects during all stages, including assessment, planning, designing, initiation, implementation.Implementing security policies and fixing vulnerabilities on I&OS systems/Recovery/Cyber Vault platforms according to the best practices and company procedures. Periodic monitoring of platforms, performance tuning, capacity planning and trend analysis.With these skills you are a great candidate:Working experience on managing various OS’s, Redhat Linux, Windows, UNIX-likeGood knowledge of I&OS systems concepts and processes, storage architectures, ability to manage and optimize space utilizationUnderstanding of implementing cybersecurity measures to protect dataExperience with VMware virtualization technologies & with automation tools and scripting (using and creating scripts to automate backup and restore processes)Must have technical / professional qualifications:University degree: faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technology3+ years' experience working in a large, enterprise environment working with problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis processesEffective communication skills in English (spoken and written), German nice to have.
