Weare searching for skilled, experienced and customer-oriented individuals for the role of IT Support Representative.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs an IT support specialist, John diligently provided first- and second-level technical supportfor hardware, software, and networking issues. He always responded to incidents promptly,ensuring adherence to SLA requirements. With a keen eye for detail, John monitored andmanaged network infrastructure, resolving performance issues efficiently. He was adept atsetting up, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment, always ready to repair or replacedefective components. John's expertise extended to installing, updating, and configuringsoftware applications while ensuring proper licensing. Handling network tasks, includingconnectivity and IP configuration, was second nature to him. He communicated effectivelywith ISPs for internet issues and managed Active Directory objects with precision.Maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers and virtualization platforms, was a crucial partof his role. John skilfully administered Windows and Linux systems, maintaining optimalsystem performance through regular updates and patches. He stayed updated with industrytrends and pursued relevant training and certifications to enhance his skills. Documentingsolutions, maintaining a knowledge base, and sharing best practices were integral to hisapproach, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.Requirementso be qualified for this role, you will need over three years of IT support experience with afocus on networking, Windows systems, and Linux administration. Excellent communicationskills are essential, along with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.A customer-centric approach with professional interaction skills and a collaborative teamattitude is crucial. You should have a strong understanding of network concepts andextensive experience in monitoring and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Windows Serverenvironments and PowerShell scripting, as well as hands-on experience with Linux systemsand shell scripting, are necessary. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such asVMware and Hyper-V is also required. Additionally, you must be available to work shifts,including nights, weekends, and holidays.
