Network and Security Engineer | On-Site Bucharest, Romania | May December 2025
Role Overview
We are looking for a Network and Security Engineer to join a project from May to December 2025. This full-time, on-site role in Bucharest requires expertise in Cisco ASA / Firepower firewalls and other security technologies. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and be comfortable working in a structured network security environment.
This position is open to freelancers based in Bucharest or nearby areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily network administration and security tasks, ensuring smooth operations.
- Handle firewall configurations, including closing and opening firewall flows on Cisco ASA / Firepower.
- Apply patches and updates while keeping documentation up to date.
- Work under the guidance of senior network engineers for complex network and security tasks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network security and compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience in network security administration.
- Proficiency in Cisco ASA / Firepower firewalls (essential).
- Experience with additional network security tools is a plus:
- Algosec
- Ubika WAF
- Forcepoint FW
- Aruba ClearPass (NAC)
- Basic troubleshooting and network security knowledge.
- English level B1 (intermediate).
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
