Payroll Expert in Bucuresti

Job Description As Payroll Expert , you are a member of payroll team in Romania, responsible to coordinate all payroll processes for the overall payroll lifecycle, reporting to Payroll Manager for cluster of Region East Europe. You ensure all employees are paid in accordance with local laws and regulations and the company’s established processing guidelines. You provide outstanding customer service to our internal customers (employees), regarding all payroll questions and concerns. You provide support to our stores, offices & company distribution center, regarding payroll matters. You coordinate with the outsourced payroll company and you are the contact person towards authorities for all issues concerning payroll, tax and social insurance matters. Responsibilities: Secure monthly payroll execution accurately, timely and in accordance with local laws and company routines by confirming payroll calculations. Able to calculate ad hoc request for various cases e.g. salary review, employee exits, etc. Monitor, update and run all processes for changes regarding employee status (registrations, de-registrations, contracts, annexes etc.) in collaboration with internal stakeholders, external payroll provider and relevant authorities. Monitor employee time attendance system, manage absences, overtime and accompanying actions (documentation, reporting etc.) by securing accurate information for payroll calculation. Efficiently collaborate with external payroll provider according to agreed routines, in order to secure payroll calculation accuracy. Deliver trainings for key payroll matters (e.g. time attendance systems, payroll routines etc.) to key stakeholders Maintain accurate payroll and employee files according to local law and company routines. Secure compliance with all external authorities relevant to payroll function. Prepare needed reports internally and/or externally on a needs basis (authorities and/or internal customers / auditors). Act as point of contact for authorities and internal customers. Manage employee benefits from payroll side (e.g. employee staff discount plan & Incentive Program). Ensure all month end tasks and reporting is performed timeously. Take all necessary action to secure data privacy protection for payroll function in accordance with local law and company routines. Manage projects directed by the Payroll Manager and contribute to department goals achievement. Qualifications What you need to succeed: Working experience in relevant payroll positions, preferably in retail business. Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration/HR or equivalent professional certification would be an asset. Understanding and staying up-to-date with local labor-payroll laws, legal regulations and payroll routines. Strong skills in planning, organizing, coordination and project management. Strong analytical and numeracy skills with attention to details. Proficient in Microsoft Office (with a strong focus on Excel). Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Very good level of English, spoken and written. Additional Information This is a  full-time and permanent position , based in Bucharest, Romania.
