For the accounting department in Bucharest HQ, GEFCO Romania is currently looking for a:
Senior / Chief Accountant
Our new colleague should be communicative, team oriented, well organized, meticulous with good analytical skills and attention to detail. He or she is a proactive person, having a“can do” approachin daily tasks and feels at ease working with figures all day long
Mission
You will take on the following responsibilities:
Ensure that all transactions are accounted correctly and qualitatively, maintaining general ledger up to date in accordance with fiscal and accounting local regulations, respecting the Group policy;
Review accounts receivable and ensure that all business transactions are recorded correctly;
Review accounts payable and performs reconciliations;
Control that the information entering in the database, account and tax registers are correct;
Ensure proper allocation and review of transactions on cost centres;
Support treasury function;
Execute month-end and year-end closing activities in a timely and accurate manner, preparing and signing the statements;
Provide accurate, complete and timely data for monthly statutory reporting, reporting to fiscal authorities, statistic, National Bank & other authorities;
Prepare balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to statutory legal and company accounting and financial guidelines; monitors & follow up on pending items and rectify encountered errors;
Collaborate with administrative (primary accounting) departments;
Monitor and control of deductible and non-deductible expenses, ensure that appropriate documentation is prepared to support deductibility of costs and preparation of profit tax statements;
Participate and provide information in company’s audit and control actions – statutory audit, audit for consolidation purposes, internal control, fiscal audits or other controls;
Profil
Our further requirements are:
Economic University graduate, specialization in Accounting or Finance; professional qualifications will be an added advantage;
Experienced in Accounting, preferably in a multinational company from services sector or transport/logistics, for minimum 5 years;
Proficiency in relevant accounting software (preferably SAP) and MS office tools;
High level of knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting and taxation;
Good communicator, with verbal and written abilities, both English and Romanian;
Result oriented, problem solver, analytical and with attention to details.
