Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist (senior team member) About the Role Location Romania Bucuresti Bucharest Organization SE CFO Business Unit Accounting & Controlling Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day: In your role as the Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist (senior team member), you will be responsible to coordinate and ensure the delivery of day-to-day operations related to accounts receivables.How You’ll Make an Impact:●In your role as the Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist (senior team member), you will be responsible to coordinate and ensure the delivery of day-to-day operations related to accounts receivables, for example:○Reconciliation of accounts (Customers & GL)○Imaging and archiving ○Payment allocation both manual and automated○Handling & processing of selected payment types, e.g. cheques & bill of exchange○Supporting resolution of unallocated / problem amounts○Overseeing subledger correction postings (e.g. managing/writing off of differences)○Where applicable, oversee the functionality and maintenance of existing automated payment allocation tools in use○Where applicable, identify improvements in automated payment allocation initiatives○Oversee the process of external customer reconciliations and balance confirmations●Oversee the daily activities of the Accounts Receivable accounting team and partner with Team Lead for Accounts Receivable (AR)/competence center to provide accurate books and records and comply with global processes/standards ●You will act as a competent contact person for various inquiries relating to your area of responsibility and advise your team on (receivables) accounting issues●Maintain and consult (local) AR policies ●You coordinate closely with other departments, countries, regions and seek opportunities to allow more effective cooperation between teams/ team members regardless of country/functional assignments●The implementation and execution of new accounting regulations and internal controls – with focus on Accounts Receivable - is part of your responsibility ●You provide help and guidance to team members in need of assistance due to workload or lack of expertise issues●Monitor the team’s performance and customer accounts for proper invoice and payment assignment ●You act as a role model in projects for process optimization, harmonization, automation, digitalization and standardization●Support quarterly and yearly external audit process by providing timely information and resolve queries from auditor qualitatively (if applicable for the assigned countries/legal entities)●You value effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders●Strive to achieve and continuously improve on documented SLA’s, KPI’s and quality measures ●Proactively identify service delivery issues and take appropriate action, promote performance improvement initiatives and use of best practices.●Contribute continuously to the improvement of the performance of the overall Accounting Service CentreWhat You Bring: ●Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field●Education as professional accountant●more than 5 plus years of experience in operational accounting, specifically accounts receivable activities ●Finance leadership experience, with proven success in leading teams through change management processes●Entrepreneurial mindset and eager to drive transformation●People oriented and committed to drive personal growth of the team●Experience of working in truly multicultural working environment●End-to-end understanding of business processes in ERP landscape (e.g. SAP FI, CO).●IFRS accounting knowledge.●Your open and communicative nature as well as fluent English skills complete your profileAbout the Team In our Corporate and Business Functions we enable our organization to reach their targets by providing best-in class services and solutions in the areas of IT, HR, Finance, Real Estate, Strategy & Technology and more.In our company, we offer a broad portfolio of cutting-edge technologies, services, and solutions for centralized and decentralized energy production, having businesses from all Divisions (Generation, Industrial Applications, Transmission and New Energy Business) represented.You will be reporting to the local Team Lead for Accounts Receivable (AR) being part of both the local finance community as well as an international network of accounting specialists.Who is Siemens Energy?At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
