Backend Team Lead (Go) in Bucuresti

Take control of the growth and strategy for the team developing the core of our product’s back-end. We’re working with an API first approach, which means all features and functionality is provided to applications and front-end implementations. We’re working with tens of millions of transactions every day and performance is a key aspect of getting things done right You’d need to hire a team and drive the team towards achieving technical excellence through mentorship, professional development, and effective communication.  Most important, encourage a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team. What you will do: Spend 50% of your time on hands-on backend development , crafting robust, scalable solutions Dedicate 50% to team leadership , mentoring, management and driving project success from idea to deployment Run team ceremonies, setting daily work goals, ensuring smooth work flow and reaching the goals agreed with the Product organization Lead, supervise and motivate employees, perform regular 1:1s with each member of the team Organize work process, coordinate and control work actions, ensure the work quality and that tasks are performed on time, including initiative delivery schedules being observed Be responsible for the team to understand and follow processes and technologies Our Stack: Go, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, Redis, AWS, Grafana, PostgreSQL, Jira, Confluence 3-5 years back-end development experience Minimum 1 year experience with leading a team Fluent English Strong knowledge about agile development methodologies Excellent Golang and SQL knowledge, unit testing, integration testing, security testing for code
