About the team: FIS utilise a Risk & Payment Fraud detection service to monitor potentially fraudulent activity across the payment products it offers to customers You will be working as part of an SRE (Application Support) team supporting the suite of fraud systems used within FIS The team will operate according to the defined and deployed global operating model, maximising consistency across the wider global group What you will be doing Primarily covering the US application instance of Brighterion, you will be required to work a shift pattern that mirrors the US working day (Eastern time). You will be troubleshooting & investigating production system problems of a 24-7 service where stability, reputation management & security are critical to the business’ ongoing success You will be required to provide 24/7 out of hours on-call support on a rota basis You will be coordinating and implementing essential production maintenance tasks What you bring: Good Unix/Linux knowledge (directory navigation, files manipulation, process manipulation) Relational databases - preferably using Oracle A good understanding of database design concepts and Oracle internals The ability to write SQL queries comfortably Understanding of database optimization and all relevant structures Experience searching large database tables Experience on a batch processing system and reacting to batch failures Understanding of ITIL framework (especially Incident and Change Management) Added bonus if you have: Proven experience writing Shell Scripts (bash, awk, perl, python) Database performance experiencing including indexing of tables Experience in an environment with a high level of focus on disaster recovery Experience in deployment of application software releases into the production environment Implementing suitable tools to aid service monitoring Experience testing and promoting software releases through the test environments into production Apache / Tomcat Experience in file transfer technologies Control-M batch scheduler familiarisation Experience of card processing security Experience of Internet applications and/or the finance industry Degree level education (in related subject of computing, maths, science, engineering) or equivalent Object oriented design development languages Documentation and diagramming of technical solutions Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle Understanding of Client/Server topology What we offer you: Full remote working from any place in Romania Modern, international work environment built on collaboration, flexibility and respect Competitive salary and fantastic range of benefits – private health insurance including dental, meal vouchers, private pension, sport allowance, well-being programs 26 vacation days per year and bank holidays replacement FIS shares purchase program #LI-Remote #LI-RB1 Privacy Statement FIS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process in order to provide services to our clients.
