We are looking for a Category Manager Coffee, to lead and drive the marketing agenda for relevant categories in Romania. The Category Manager develops and implements our vision and marketing strategy for a category and brands to achieve short and long-term sales, profit and market share targets.
The Category Manager role is responsible for portfolio deployment, range management, media planning, campaign translation and execution, artwork translation, local brand management and compiling and sharing key market insights.
The role reports to the Marketing Director South Central Europe and has direct reports.
- Lead annual and strategic (3+ years) marketing planning for respective categories in Romania
- Execute annual Marketing Plans within all elements of the Marketing Mix (including product strategy, pricing strategy, communication, and consumer activation)
- Work with Design agencies, Media agency, BTL agencies on marketing plan execution
- Ensure building strong brands in local market, within global guidelines
- Manage category P&L, ensuring the achievement of annual business and marketing objectives in line with company targets
- Ensure holistic approach to market sensing, business intelligence and forecasting, including tracking and evaluation of category & consumer trends, competitive set, industry and technology development, macro-environmental factors, marketing communications and media environments; compile local knowledge and key market insight and share them with the central marketing organization for potential innovations
- Engage Coffee category team towards business growth. Inspire cross functional team towards the achievement and over achievement of business targets.
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic about coffee and passionate about marketing
- Appreciate a fast pace and enjoy thinking out of the box
- Results-oriented, have solid business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong preference towards making data-driven decisions and have solid numerical skills
- Agility and stress resilience are strengths of yours; cross-functional collaboration is your guidance
- At least least 3 years’ experience in managing a product category, preferably in a multinational FMCG company; as well proven success of building/strengthening brands in the local market
- Proven track record with fueling growth in developing segments/products is a plus
- Prior success in managing and building an engaged team will be considered a strong plus
- You are fluent in Romanian & English
