Chief Accountant in Bucuresti

Job Description Responsibilities Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles Lead month and year-end closing process and ensure timely and accurate submission of reporting package Perform monthly GL reconciliations Analyse local to group accounting differences Coordinate and complete annual financial audits Coordinate annual stock count process Be up-to-date to fiscal changes and ensure compliance to local legislation Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements Maintain relationship with banks & state treasury Analyse cashflow and assess cash needs Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions where needed Ensures effectiveness of internal controls overs financial records Manage team of accountants, motivating them and fostering professional growth Supervise activities of accountants, developing effective and efficient ways of working Act as an advisor and business partner for business functions, finding solutions to support business growth Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting & CECCAR membership 5+ experience in similar role Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems SAP experience and knowledge is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Very good organizational skills and attention to detail Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, English language is a must Ability to direct and supervise Customer orientation Check Your Resume for Match Upload your resume and our tool will compare it to the requirements for this job like recruiters do.
