Scope of the Role: This is NOT just a traditional chief accountant role! Not at all! This is about minimum 10 complex finance-accounting processes implemented and handled by the team , ERP migration, learn from one of the best CFO in the market who is willing to coach this new Chief Accountant into their future permanent CFO and many more! Moreoved, this role is open for a SENIOR ACCOUNTANT as well, ambitious, fast learning etc who can be promotted in their team right now! The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing all statutory accounting entries in compliance with US GAAP, ensuring adherence to financial regulations, and maintaining accurate financial documentation. This role involves close collaboration with regulatory authorities and auditors, both internal and external. The Chief Accountant prepares and validates key financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements, and reviews various accounting documents and consolidated financial statements. Additionally, the role includes evaluating team performance, analyzing business processes to identify and mitigate risks, and providing strategic financial insights to stakeholders to drive business improvements. Primary Duties: Oversee and manage statutory accounting entries in compliance with US GAAP. Collaborate with regulatory bodies, including ANAF and Anti-Fraud authorities. Handle relationships with both internal and external auditors. Prepare and validate financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements. Assess and evaluate team performance. Ensure financial documents are maintained in accordance with current laws and regulations. Review and interpret balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting documents and reports. Competencies: Technical Accounting Evaluation: Investigates and evaluates transactions to ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies. Understanding of Financial Regulations: Analyzes applicable financial regulations, such as tax, banking, and pensions, to ensure transactions comply with relevant laws; explains key regulatory requirements and their business implications to stakeholders. Business Process and Risk Analysis: Examines business processes to identify risks and gaps in internal controls, develops process optimizations, and creates risk management plans based on the internal control framework. Financial Internal Controls: Implements and evaluates internal control frameworks to mitigate financial reporting risks and address evolving business needs. Financial Analysis: Analyzes financial data to identify trends, variations, opportunities, and risks, providing stakeholders with insights to drive business improvements; ensures data integrity by investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective measures. Education, Qualifications, and Experience: A university degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Proficiency in English (advanced level). Professional accounting qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA are preferred but not mandatory if compensated with relevant experience. Knowledge of US GAAP is advantageous, especially with experience in multinational environments. Proficiency in advanced Excel. Understanding of tax legislation. Professional Background: Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. Minimum of three years in a similar role. Leadership experience. Experience working in multinational companies.
