Our client has offices in Coventry, Bournemouth and Reading and occasional travel will be required to your most local office as part of the role.Role purpose:As the Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring our cloud-based infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of performance, scalability, and security. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to identify business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions. Furthermore, you will stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends to innovate and enhance the cloud-based offerings.Key Accountabilities:Design, implement, and manage migration from on premise to cloud based infrastructures on the most appropriate platforms with a preference to AzureEnsure the security, availability, and scalability of cloud-based applications and services.Monitor and optimise cloud-based infrastructure to ensure high performance, availability, and scalability while minimising operating costs.Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for cloud-based services and applicationsCollaborate with TDA members to ensure a clear set of design principles which are understood and Embedded throughout the estate architecture.Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation and provide guidance on cloud-based solutions.Ensuring design solutions deliver on value maximisation, tracking spend and identifying areas for optimisation.Taking leadership and offering guidance to ensure best practice is followed in regards to the respective cloud based solution.In order to apply, you must have the following skills and experience:TOGAF qualified.Previous experience as a Cloud Architect.Significant experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure.Strong expertise in cloud-based architectures and services, such as, Azure and/or Google Cloud.Good experience in migration of services from on-premise/co-lo to cloud.Some exposure to Dynamics solutions would be desirable.Experience in designing and deploying cloud-native applications using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins.Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps principles.Understanding of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based services.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.Expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery/deploymentDemonstratable skills in providing high quality documentation in ArchiMate, Sparx and Visio.Experience of commissioning services from third parties and managing relationships with suppliers and contractors.If you have the relevant experience and would like to apply, please submit your CV.
