Responsibilities We are looking for a Senior Cobol Developer, for one of our projects in the fintech area – a multinational financial technology company, that provides payment technology and services to merchants, issuers and consumers. If you are passionate about programming, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities: Perform and complete specific programming activities to deliver routine programs for supporting business functions Provide testing of basic and routine functionality to complete and deliver assignments Follow specifications, coding standards, and project guidelines to ensure code integrity Interact with applications team members to acquire systems knowledge Create and execute queries and reports to fulfill information requests Support the analysis of processes of low complexity to ensure accurate documentation of requirements and processes and to complete test coverage and requirement testability Contribute to test scripts, set-up, plans, data, and updates to support the testing phase and to ensure test requirements are met Provide support and assistance for Change Control deployments Provide support and assistance for the resolution of break-fix tickets on a timely basis Provide support and assistance for internal customers Demonstrate self-discipline and strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills Qualifications and Experience 5+ years of experience as a software development engineer with mainframe technologies Proven hands-on Software Development experience Advanced proficiency in English Primary Skill: COBOL - Advanced Intermediate proficiency in: JCL, VSAM, SQL Additional Skills: Java Knowledge in Finance/Payments industry is preferred Willingness to learn and apply new technologies.
