Do you?The MissionYour Mission as Compliance Officer to ING Hubs Romania is to identify, assess, advise on, monitor, and report on the ING Hubs Romania’s compliance risk to help the organization comply with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. You will also have a role in developing, implementing, and applying relevant policies and controls to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulation, and standards, both internal and external.In your role as Compliance Officer, you will be working with many stakeholders to make sure ING’s internal mandatory policies and regulatory obligations are embedded and will support ING Hubs Romania management in broadening Compliance awareness within the location.You will have the opportunity to work with global teams and various risk and business functions within ING to assure the proper risk management is implemented across the organization.Your day to dayEven if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities: – The Compliance Officer instructs employees on compliance-related requirements to ensure that they act in accordance with laws, regulations and ING risk appetite as defined in ING Policies, including keeping them informed on developments in the compliance area. In line with ING Values, the Compliance Risk Management function deepens the culture of compliance by enabling the business to act with integrity. - The Compliance Officer assists in (i) educating employees on compliance issues, (ii) in acting as contact point for compliance queries, and in (iii) establishing applicability of mandatory policies, minimum standards and/or written guidance about the appropriate implementation and embedding of the compliance-related requirements. – The Compliance Officer will participate in the identification, documentation and assessment of the compliance risks through advise and challenge actions; supports and monitors that employees are investigating, adequately mitigating and/or promptly remediating compliance issues identified. – The Compliance Officer monitors the adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, the ING Orange Code, as well as the effectiveness of the compliance-related controls; reports the results of the monitoring activities in line with the ING Bank Non-Financial Risk Framework. – The Compliance Risk Management function liaises with relevant external bodies, including regulators, peers, industry bodies and external experts. The Compliance Officer will act as Whistleblower Reporting Officer (WBRO). - in a joint effort with the receiving 1st Line, the Compliance Officer provides compliance inputs and challenge in the Onboarding Assessment, to ensure that adequate risk assessment / due diligence is executed prior to the “Go Live” of outsourced activities from donor entities to ING Hubs Romania. - support the Outsourcing (due diligence) process, in a joint effort with vendor and business management, to ensure that a proper due diligence is executed prior to engaging in an outsourcing agreement. From the perspective of Services Provided, the Compliance Officer is involved in assessing the compliance risks.What you’ll bring to the teamExperience: At least 4-year experience in Compliance field.Experience in compliance risk management or banking experience that is relevant for compliance risk managementExcellent analytical skills as well as a keen eye for detail to ., identify and articulate Compliance related aspectsExperience within global compliance environment or adjacent to related domain is a plusExperience and good understanding in IT (risk) management and / or other IT experience that is relevant for Compliance risk management in a dynamic IT environment is a plusKnowledge:o Mandatory:Knowledge regarding Compliance domain and passion for Integrity, Risk Culture and Compliance topicsStrong understanding of legislation, and the ability to link them into related business processes and servicesAbility to perform risk assessments, Compliance monitoring and reporting as well as quality assurance related activities is considered a plusStrong and effective communication skills – fluent in written and spoken Englisho Nice to have:Flexible attitude, able to build effective working relationships and thrive in a diversified, global, and multicultural work environmentPermanent desire to grow professionally by showing willingness to participate in new projects/initiativesForeign languages: English (advanced)Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an Economic/Legal related field; Certificate in Compliance is a plus.
