For our Romania Office in Bucharest we are looking for
German speaking Environmental and Health & Safety (EHS) Consultant with focus on auditing and permitting (m/f/d):
Depending on your specific experience and technical background you will play a key role in our continuously growing EHS services.
In this role at ERM you will:

Conduct EHS due diligence assessments (Phase I) as part of transaction processes

Conduct EHS Compliance Audits for clients in various industrial sectors, in line with Romanian legal requirements
-
Contribute to Environmental and Social Due Diligence Assessments as part of financing processes by international lenders (International Financing Corporation and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development)

Conduct fieldwork activities when required, normally under supervision of more experienced consultants
-
Develop reports (in German, English and Romanian) following field work and document review to present relevant findings, in accordance with the requirements of ERM’s project management system.

Contribute to developing permitting application documents to support clients secure relevant environmental and and water management permits

Support our office and clients develop and keep required Health & Safety documents to implement relevant legal requirements

Contribute with your expert knowledge and skills to our projects and support our interdisciplinary team in addressing challenging demands from our clients

Advise clients on regulatory implications of findings

Prepare results of different types of projects in PowerPoint or Word format

Support development of proposals to secure follow on work

Manage projects and engage with international colleagues and clients

Support in the layout of documents for projects and proposals, formatting (especially in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat…).

Helping in translation of documents.
Your profile:
-
University degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Engineering or a related discipline

Master of Science in Environmental, Occupational Health, Engineering
-
Robust knowledge of relevant Romanian Environmental and Health & Safety legal requirements

Enthusiasm to develop a career in an environmental sustainability consulting firm
-
Some prior relevant experience in this field required

Fluent verbal and written communication skills in German, English and Romanian. Knowledge of any of the following languages is a plus: Turkish, Hungarian, Serbian, Polish, Bulgarian

Excellent communication skills – including oral, written and presentation skills

Interpersonal skills and team orientation

Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols

Willingness to travel and perform work in country and internationally
-
Ability to drive (hold a valid driver’s license)

Knowledge and previous experience with modelling work (air & noise) and climate change would be an advantage.
