Continuous Delivery Architect in Bucuresti

Role purpose• Collaborate closely with the Solution Owners, Technical Architects, R&D COE & _VOIS Product Owners to ensure the smooth transition of designs from architecture into delivery.• Support and provide guidenance to our Centers of Excellence and Service Lines teams to allow the whole team to collaboratively drive complex projects, which meet the Vodafone’s technical, security and process standards.• Support the production of technology and tool assessments and utilise Cloud solution to rapidly implement and deduce outcomes from PoC’s and Pilots which can then be used as input to create enterprise wide architecture designs.• Maintaining a good working knowledge of software engineering products and the latest in virtualisation, cloud and container technologies.• Responsible for the definition / review of the design patterns, best practices, enginerring & security principles & guidance for the Engineering function across the domain.• Support the production of technology and tool assessments and utilise Cloud solution to rapidly implement and deduce outcomes from PoC’s and Pilots which can then be used as input to create enterprise wide architecture designs.• Maintaining a good working knowledge of software engineering products and the latest in virtualisation, cloud and container technologies.• Work with Vendor teams to convey Vodafone’s needs and feedback as input to technology roadmaps. Share real world implementation challenges and recommend new capabilities that would simplify adoption and drive greater value from _VOIS Solutions.• Collaborates with various Architecture & Engineering teams across our all Architecture Domains in _VOIS.• Working closely with respective architecture solution owners to maintain and support the reference architecture vision.• Working with Architecture colleagues across Digital, Monitoring, ITSM, Testing, Cloud and additional Domains to design a global framework for Agile and DevOps adoption in _VOIS. • Create technical documentation as well as peer review existing technical designs.• Define and implement the Continuous Delivery service in Vodafone including release orchestration and automation• Work with product to refine and validate business requirements from key stakeholders• Working closely with the respective COE to ensure smooth adoption of Engineering and Integration Artefacts.• Ownership over the Engineering Governance framework for the respective pillar within the domain to ensure effective collaboration across the _VOIS Transformation and Engineering team, _VOIS Application Development teams, Group Digital, Group Strategic Architecture Domains and Local Market Consumer and IT organisations. • Working with Architecture and Engineering colleagues to ensure that our Continuous Delivery service can act as a scaled enabler for all _VOIS Products. Core competencies, knowledge and experience • Extensive technical knowledge in DevOps and CICD• Identifies quality gaps and proactively acts to mitigate them• Quick, relentless and versatile learner, open to change & able to deal with “ambiguity”, processes which are currently being established / set in place• Reliable, Resilient, takes responsibility of issues• Able to anticipate future and to articulate possibilities and outcomes.• Solid technical expertise and troubleshooting skills.• Ability to travel along Vodafone Local Markets and VOIS Delivery Centres.• Fluent English language• Broad knowledge of software development along with change and configuration management practices in Linux-based environments.• Experience with SDLC methodologies including agile and waterfall• Practical examples where you have addressed complex issues in an architecture style of thinking for example optimisation of cloud estate or addition of a new digital capability• 3+ years of experience in designing complex and global scale IT systems.• Extensive experience in design & operations of scaled and distributed CICD & Testing platforms.• Extensive exposure to IT platforms project delivery from engineering perspective• Knowledge of security best practices, principles and guidelines• Ability to work in a complex ecosystem and manage priorities accordingly.Budget owned: Inputting into €2M plus worth of IT spend relating to Testing and continuous delivery globally.Sounds like the perfect job?
