Who are we?Right across the Pipera metro station, the Samsung Shared Services Centre Europe, established in 2016 in Bucharest (Romania) covers Financial, Customer Service and HR processes for Samsung subsidiaries across Europe.Role and ResponsibilitiesWhat is this role about?As the Data & Reporting Specialist in Excel, you will focus on analyzing and reporting on data, using advanced Excel skills, including Macros and VBA coding, providing key insights to business to enable decision making around key strategic controls. You will also provide support to data driven projects and drive automation of reports.You should also inform employees of additional information that may be of use to you, encouraging them to house such information in a secure folder. You will continually create and modify databases to meet the needs of our Shared Service Centre operations.Responsibilities for Data & Reporting AnalystDesign business analysis and data recording systems for use throughout the department, using advanced Excel skills, including Macros and VBA codingTraining and encouraging staff to maintain complete databases that can be used for subsequent analysisUpdate databases as necessary to ensure accuracyRegularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughoutAccurately analyse and collect data for various types of business reportsUse data mining techniques to consolidate and analyse information from available data sources to support process optimisation and automation modellingCreate business reports that provide insight into key data pointsPerform ad-hoc analysis as necessary to answer business questions and drive decisions for senior managementCommunicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managersMaintain standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards with insights and metrics that drive change in the business, which are tailored in level of detail for the appropriate stakeholdersSupport various Finance Teams within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger, in reaching their goals through analysisMonitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends​Skills and QualificationsQualifications for Data & Reporting AnalystDegree in management information systems, finance, econometrics, statistics or similarMust have three to five years of demonstrable experience as a financial or business analystProficiency in the use of statistical applications/ tech tools - mandatory advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, VBA coding); nice to have Access, PowerBI competenciesCoding skills would be advantageous (SQL, Python)Experience in SAP is an advantage, but not a must haveAnalytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reportsDemonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to co-workers and/or different stakeholdersExcellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisionsTendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact resultsGeneral knowledge of business operations, process and information flow within a Shared Service Centre is an advantage
