Data engineers work in a variety of settings to build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for downstream data users to interpret. They are core members of the data platform team, building frameworks, designing and documenting best practices, and working with architecture on developing patterns. They spend most of their time working on the base infrastructure, working with the other domain engineering teams to make them successful with their use cases. You'll be part of a team that is mostly domain agnostic, working hands-on with data and implementing capabilities that will support a variety of use cases for the Data & Analytics organization. Responsibilities:Acquire datasets that align with business needsDevelop algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable informationBuild, test, and maintain database pipeline architecturesCollaborate with management to understand company objectivesCreate new data validation methods and data analysis toolsEnsure compliance with data governance and security policies Job Requirements:having a fundamental knowledge of cloud computing, coding skills, and database designproficiency in coding languages is essential to this role, common programming languages include SQL, NoSQL, Python, Java, R, and Scalabe familiar with both relational and non-relational databases, and how they workbe able to write scripts to automate repetitive tasksmanaging big data, tools and technologies - Hadoop, MongoDB and Kafka.managing and storing data to protect it from loss or theft.understanding the needs of data scientists on your team.understanding cloud storage and cloud computing: AWS, Azure, and understanding cloud-native vs cloud-agnostic.
