Together we are the centre of maritime excellence. ABOUT YOUR ROLE We are seeking a Data Engineer for our Poland office to join us in what is an exciting time for our business. AS A DATA ENGINEER AT SETAPP, YOU WILL Deliver complex data flows to process and curate data from internal & external sources to provide the company with a competitive edge.Maintain existing / develop new solutions to maximize the utility of data within the business.Hands-on full lifecycle understanding of requirements and delivery of reports, dashboards and data pipelines.Proactively identify opportunities for data quality improvements and for the business to use data to improve processes and gain a competitive edge.Understand and document new and existing data & reporting requirements and translating these into high-level database and solution designs and then implementing.Manage the relationship with technical and non-technical stakeholders and end-users.Work with the development team to contribute to project delivery, technical & solution design and implementation and provide best practice guidance.Own the end-to-end delivery of data & business intelligence initiatives.Contribute to the enterprise data engineering and business intelligence roadmap and strategy. REQUIREMENTS Experience with: Microsoft SQL 2012-2019 / Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Factory & SSIS, Analysis Services Tabular (SSAS), Power BI & SSRS/Paginated Reports, Azure Databricks & Data Lake, Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure DevOps & GIT Source ControlExperience with ADF/SSIS/Databricks data flows, lineage and able to implement robust & scalable solutions.Solid experience in T-SQL development, analysis & optimisation skills.Strong understanding of data warehouse modelling terminology & techniques.Experience with designing & authoring dashboards and reports in Power BI.Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD and source control.Experience with business and technical requirements gathering and documentation (engaging with technical & non-technical stakeholders and end-users).Able to independently test and validate reporting solution outputs.Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and capable of successfully juggling multiple, competing priorities.
