The ideal candidate will have good Machine Learning/Deep learning knowledge, and hands on experience solving complex real-world ML/DL problems. We want people who are excited to solve the hard problems, eager to work with a larger team of data scientists & engineers and ready to make business impact in areas related to Pricing, Claims, Sales, Marketing, Operations or any other ongoing research into the organisation. What you will do Engage with business users to understand the pain points and business challenges Work with data engineers to source, analyse & engineer features, perform data augmentation Design and build efficient data pipelines to train, test & deploy high Quality models Take ownership of relevant software components, code & implement reusable Machine learning, (gen)AI solutions Keep up to date with the latest industry & technology trends in AI-GenAI developments What you bring Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative or engineering field like Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Statistics. 3+ years of hands-on experience in creating high-quality software w/ Python Strong hands-on experience w/ typical Python ML and LLM frameworks (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, langchain, ...) as well as working with structured as well as unstructured data Solid practical experience wrt. to the standard Data Science workflow as well as building GenAI applications Experience working in a cross-functional team using agile methodologies to jointly and incrementally develop end-to-end AI applications Experience working with MS Azure cloud infrastructure and services including Azure Document Intelligence as well as Azure OpenAI Fluency in English Nice-to-have: Experience w/ RAG, LLM agents, and other more recent GenAI trends and approaches Experience w/ CICD frameworks (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI/CD) Experience w/ processing and understanding of contractual and other insurance Optional Skills: Prior experience in P&C and L&H Insurance analytics (Claims, Pricing, Sales, Marketing) Professional software development experience including documentation and testing Working experience in containerized, cloud-based environments, especially Microsoft Azure Experience with developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Experience in designing, developing, deploying and operating scalable RESTful micro-services Knowledge and experience in DBMS technologies Knowledge and experience in Monitoring systems Knowledge on software architecture design principles Experience working in a cross-functional and distributed agile team You have Communication Skills Collaboration & Teamwork Problem-Solving Time Management & Prioritization Business Acume Curiosity & Continuous Learning Presentation Skills What we offer We support your well-being We foster an inclusive and healthy workplace with a flexible hybrid working model: Experience access to counseling services, mental health resources, and well-being sessions designed to keep you feeling your best Enjoy a monthly budget via the Benefit platform, for personalized benefits packages, including comprehensive medical subscriptions, meal tickets, private pensions plans, life insurance, Allianz Tiriac insurance discounts, and many more.
