Key responsibilities: Provide recommendations for improvements or optimizationsAnalysis of DBMS performance problems and issue recommendations to improve the efficiency of applicationsProvide SQL development support and query tuningDevelop and proactively review the monitoring of production PostgreSQL databasesMaintaining data integrity by monitoring database activity to ensure that it meets regulations on security and complianceEnforce architectural governance, database standards and best practicesWrite and review stored procedures and make recommendations for optimizationDevelop automation standards for repeated, routine database tasksManage database access. Requirements: 4+ years experience in PostgreSQLSolid understanding of HA solutionsExperience in SQL development and database designExpertise in SQL, DML and DDLUnderstanding of query planningKnowledge of PostgreSQL tuning and optimisation parametersKnowledge of PostgreSQL replication techniques and Amazon RDS support will be beneficialAdvanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standardsExperience with container runtime and management software like Docker and Kubernetes would be a plusExcellent written and spoken English.
