Most of the assignments are for our clients based in Scandinavia, UK and the Middle East, but we believe in remote work, so you can be placed anywhere you want!For our client we are looking for an experienced and passionate DevOps Engineers to join an existing team of skilled and experienced DevOps engineers.Duties and responsibilities: Will include working closely with software engineers, coaching and helping them with following:Working with the GIT version control system (Bitbucket or GitHub), including pull-requests and branching models.Creating building and deploying pipelines on Jenkins.Deploying and operating target platforms (Kubernetes).Automating and streamlining processes so they fit into our clients’ standards.Training and coaching businesses and development teams with DevOps related processes such as:Continuous integrationContinuous deliveryMonitoring and telemetryDeveloping scripts (incl. automation) using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash/PowerShellUtilizing tools related to DevOps toolchain, like Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, Protractor, Prometheus, Elastic Search / KibanaManaging and troubleshooting Jenkins automation serverManaging and troubleshooting Atlassian’s suite of tools: Jira, ConfluenceMigration of the existing backlogs and source repositories into the new platformTroubleshooting build and deployment issuesProviding input taking part and influencing how the process of delivering software looks likeBeing able to explain in detail what values DevOps culture and processes can bring to the organizationAbilities Required:Development background in either .NET, Java or JavaScriptAgile methodologies background (like Scrum)  Writing automation scripts using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/BashCreating build pipelines on Jenkins, using Groovy or Java, that include:Running automated unit and integration testsCode quality checks like static code analysis (like Sonarqube)Deploying to stand-alone application servers running on VMs or to container runtimesConfiguring and managing the artifact repository (Artifactory)Managing GIT source control servers like Bitbucket or GitHubAbility to train and coach people, including those less advanced and less skilledGood interpersonal and communication skills: Being communicative, creative, proactive and open mindedBeneficial to have:Understanding microservicesUnderstanding serverless architectureExpertise and understanding integrations patterns and frameworksExpertise with one of the public cloud providers: AWS, Azure or Google CloudSecurity related experience, including standards like OAuthUnderstanding how to orchestrate and manage containers on Kubernetes cluster Industry knowledge preferences: +4 yearsLanguage: At least Intermediate level of spoken and written English Start date for assignment: AsapDuration of assignment: Long term Expected workload for the consultant: FulltimeLocation: Remote
