With your passion for Financial Markets and engineering skills you ensure and support a stable, secure and performing critical Financial Markets pricing and risk application, allowing Global Market Risk users and Traders to perform pre-deal pricing, EoD portfolio calculations of valuation adjustment, Market Risk simulations (e.g. VaR, MI, Bilateral Margining) all driven by new ECB regulation as well as advanced Risk analysis on the derivative product portfolio of Financial Markets (interest rates, credits, foreign exchange). You and your squad will be delivering key components spread over FlexING squads of Competitive Pricing area in Wholesale Banking Financial Markets. FlexING is focused on delivering solutions for sales, traders, and risk managers. We are specialized in derivative products, covering multiple asset classes (equities, commodities, interest rates). Our business users are in London, Amsterdam, Brussels, New York, and Singapore. We are building applications to automate the whole flow from client quote requests, to pricing, booking and risk management as much as possible.Your day to dayEven if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Together with your IT colleagues in Brussels, Bucharest, Singapore, Amsterdam you will share and own the following daily responsibilities:Continuous deployment and delivery using Azure DevOpsImplement the security policy so that the system is secure at operating system, database and application server level (this includes also regular patching of the entire environment suite Dev, Test, Acceptance, Production)Configure and implement appropriate Monitoring Tooling using the correct and agreed event alertsPerform High Availability and Disaster Recovery tests with support from other IT teamsIT Risk & security controls need to be put in place and accurately documented, for this you will need to get familiar and keep up to date with the ING Information Security Management PolicySpecify, design, test and deploy the runtime scripts (e.g. stop / start / purge / backup / deploy / rollback)Implement and work with the latest tooling with a strong focus on performance, stability and securityPerform Functional testing and Change Management activities in order to ensure the safe deliveries from Test, to Acceptance and to Production environmentFind opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance and security as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more. This is a key responsibility of the Operations EngineersPerform incident and problem management activities, including root cause analysis to determine the actual failure cause and implement structural fixes.
