Director of Data Privacy &Business Controls
The Director, Data Privacy &Business Controls, leads the strategy and implementation of Human ResourcesData Privacy and Business Controls for Honeywell. The role spans HR DataPrivacy management and protection initiatives, and also oversees HR Compliance,Risk Management and Internal Controls, Audit implementation, BusinessContinuity Risk and Supplier Risk Management. This position is a team leaderrole and is also responsible for driving proactive Data Privacy and BusinessControls Training, Education & Awareness initiatives across theorganization.

Key responsibilities :

  • Lead Data Privacy reviews for HR projects, processes and tools through analysis, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and approvals and proactively promote Privacy by Design ensuring HR projects, tools and processes adhere to Data Privacy guidelines, policies and regulations.
  • Provide strategic partnership in consulting with stakeholders to identify business risks and mitigation plans.
  • Design, develop and implement framework to ensure robust controls for data protection covering applications, processes and suppliers.
  • End to end ownership of HR Data Privacy engagement with LER (Labor & Employee Relations), EWC (European Works Council), Local WC (Country Works Councils), DPO (Data Privacy Officer) and Employment Counsel requiring understanding of basic requirements of Consultation and Co-Determination.
  • Manage HR data incident process including identification, investigation, mitigation support and reporting.
  • Perform risk assessment and audits of HR policies and processes to identify control gaps, provide recommendations to ensure risk mitigation and ensure implementation of adequate controls, and summarize findings through standard reporting.
  • Lead internal and external audits that involve HR processes and track findings to closure.
  • Strategically manage and enhance Business Continuity documentation and testing across HR Services sites and key HR applications.
  • Manage and conduct regular training and awareness sessions for Business Controls, Risk Mitigation and Data Privacy Policy Compliance and prepare Data Privacy and Business Control scorecards for quarterly publishing.
  • Build and foster relationships with key stakeholders across HR, LER, Legal, Country HR, IT and Corporate Audit.
  • Managea team of ~6 members across HRS to ensure Data Privacy and Business Control objectivesand effectively managing career paths and succession through a strong peoplemanagement operating system.

YOU MUST HAVE: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a HR, Business, Accounting, Legal,Compliance or related field.
  • 7+ years experience in Data Privacy, ideally in HumanResources
  • Experience in Compliance, Controls, or Audit in aservices or manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Data Privacy Regulations, WorksCouncils requirements, etc, and knowledge of HR and Risk Management policies& processes
