We are looking for the Director of Engineering to support our Telecommunications Division - the foundation for our company’s growth. We will provide a world-class turnkey solution to companies building FTTH networks nationwide!
Responsibilities:
- Lead the transition/implementation of our engineering model from strategic partnership to self-perform (develop the plan);
- Oversee engineering operations with supervision and oversight of the onshore team, offshore team, and engineering subcontractors;
- Develop company's end-to-end engineering model to standardize processes/systems and approach/tracking;
- Oversee the design of the outside plant fiber network, to maintain the highest standard of deliverable quality;
- Manage and develop the company's vendor relationships & strategic partnerships;
- Recruit, manage, and grow the company's onshore & offshore engineering teams;
- Identify additional subcontractors/resources to support various projects and oversee their quality and schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum 7-9 years of engineering experience in telecommunications;
- Ability to lead a group of individual contributors to accomplish the goals of the department;
- Deep understanding of the work, processes, and industry trends;
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills are required to work cross-functionally, with bargained-for and non-bargained-for personnel, contractors, and external vendors;
- Comprehensive knowledge of network topologies spanning switching, access, and transport portions of the network
