Embedded Linux Engineer in Constanţa

Embedded (regular) C++ (regular) Linux (advanced) Andersen, an international IT company, invites an experienced Embedded Linux Engineer to work on a large-scale project for one of our German customers. The customer is a leading brand in fire protection with a 2.2 billion euro annual turnover and 10,000 employees worldwide. It has a global presence with branches in over 60 countries, offering customized fire protection solutions for various sectors such as automotive plants, power stations, logistics centers, offices, data centers, and ships. The project is to build high-quality desktop applications for embedded Linux systems. Responsibilities: - Designing the services and apps architecture based on requirements in cooperation with the Solution Architect;- Developing and maintaining customer services and apps;- Developing embedded code for respective services/apps running on the embedded platform;- Technically working with and supporting external consultants in joint developments;- Implementing Unit tests where required;- Conducting tests and supporting the test engineer in establishing proper test criteria;- Troubleshooting the embedded solution, diagnosing errors and inefficiencies and drive resolution;- Ensuring the design and development of a secure solution, applying secure coding practices. Must-haves:- Experience as a Embedded Linux Engineer for 3+ years;- Strong background in architecting and developing embedded software;- Proficiency in Python and C/C++ programming languages;- Strong diagnostics and problem-solving skills;- Working experience with Linux and Docker;- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate (speaking and writing). Nice-to-haves:- Strong know-how of protocols and networking technologies;- Experience with web technologies (primarily Back-end);- Notions of test frameworks like Robot;- Background in other programming languages (eg C#);- Experience with video codecs and streaming protocols.
