We’re looking for a seasoned and growth-oriented Engineering Manager to help our full-stack product teams increase their performance (outcomes!), and the quality of work delivered. You will take full ownership of translating a backlog of great ideas into a predictable roadmap. You will be working closely with the Head of Product, Software Engineers, QA Engineers and the rest of the product team. Right now, our engineering team is made of ~12 people, with plans to almost double over next year, so we need to improve our development process so productivity of the team will increase along with its size. In this role, we do appreciate in-person collaboration which means that we require at least 3 days in our office. Your main responsibilities will be:Translating prioritised backlog of features requests, bugs, few products MVPs, tech-debt into predictable roadmap and release timeline;Managing the team’s work to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.Day to day management of three cross-functional teams (Basics like 1:1’s, holiday requests etc.).Motivating and supporting teams in their daily work and in relation to the implementation of long-term goals.Being responsible for staffing our engineering team by partnering with our recruitment team.Taking care of the personal development of our engineers (career paths); Performing some of the core agile concepts like running plannings, groomings, retros etc.Being responsible for the overall delivery of development team and progress reportingEnforcing development workflow (workflow, branching strategy, release cycles, team split)Collaborating with product managers and other functional areas to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Making sure that the entire engineering team is on the same page in terms of priorities, big picture roadmap etc.Release management (in collaboration with QA Lead) Requirements:Strong focus on outcomes from users/business perspectiveA minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role and rest of software engineering (However, if you have a good track-record and great references but Proven track record in building and deploying large-scale services (you have worked at least in one product company)Excellent in essential management practices such as email/calendar usage patterns, meeting summaries, action points etc.Proficiency with Agile methodologies and familiarity with various software development practicesDemonstrated experience and interest in team-building, morale management, strategic hiring, and supporting the career development of team members (you have to understand that your job is mostly about enabling and organizing others to do their job)Strong skills in proactive relationship management, providing and implementing feedback, conflict resolution, and change management.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities that support effective engagement with both the team and the wider organization.Fluent English Our recruitment processDiscovery interview (online) - 30 minFirst interview (online) - 60 min Skills interview (in our office at Krakusa 11) - 75 min Final interview - 45 min We offer: 22 000 - 30 000 PLN monthly net on an invoice on a B2B stocks in a rapidly growing company via ESOP plan, 21-26 days off fully paid standard benefits like co-financed: sport card, private healthcare, english lessons our post-industrial workspace located in Podgórze, Kraków newest Mac or laptop with Windows or Linux, and any other tools you may need, real impact on how the company you work for looks like.
