IT specialists in the helpdesk (1st and 2nd level support). The HZI, Germany's largest non-university infection research center, conducts cutting-edge research in the field of infectious diseases as a member of the Helmholtz Association. Our scientists develop novel methods and strategies to fight infectious diseases faster and more effectively. Our common goal is to develop novel approaches to prevention, diagnosis and therapy of infectious diseases. Bacterial and viral pathogens, their interplay with the human immune system and new effective agents and vaccines are the focus of our research. Through a wide range of services and projects, the Computing Center department, headed by Dr. Joachim Metge, supports both science and administration and in this way makes a fundamental contribution to the successes in infection research at the HZI. In a complex IT environment at several locations, daily challenges are posed to 22 employees and six trainees and mastered by means of competence and team spirit in a friendly environment. The following tasks await you in the helpdesk: Documenting / qualifying / resolving / passing on incidents in a ticket system. Automated computer installation Poster printing Notification of higher-level malfunctions Optimization of support Creation / co-design of processes, instructions and documentation. Instruct trainees in the helpdesk IT onboarding of new employees Maintenance of the intranet site of the data center based on typo3 Endpoint management Support for video conferencing system (Zoom) Support for IT projects Communication to internal RZ groups and external support. Participation in training / continuing education Your qualifications and skills: Completed training in an IT profession (eg Fachinformatiker_in, FR system integration).
