Job Description
Goal and Key Accountabilities

Implements and maintains Group, IFRS and statutory accounting and tax compliance

Ensures that requires (month-end, year-end etc.) reports are completed accurately and on time

Organizes and oversees accounting processes: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger & tax

Maintains accurate and complete financial records and coordinating audits

Coordinates implementation of global and local projects and supports business initiatives as needed
-
Identifying and capturing opportunities for process and efficiency improvements
Key Activities

Prepares the Statutory Financial Statements

Analyzes financial data and creating reports for management
-
Maintains accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed. Ensures proper documentation and follow-up for GRC financial controls

Maintains the company’s balance sheet, including planning, reporting of actuals, deviation analyses and statutory audit
-
Supervises delivery of month end closing, Group and statutory reporting on time and in high quality
-
Is accountable for local tax and accounting compliance, planning and accounting for income taxes for the local entity
-
Stays up to date with current and proposed legislation, identifies needs for change in internal processes and initiates recommendations for new procedures

Prepares and reviews monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations

Responsible for full year and interim audits

Prepares and submits monthly and annual closing reports

Implements the global policy in accounting and tax

Executes global tax policy & transfer pricing policy
-
Ensures tax compliance
-
Manages the outsourced providers to ensure activities are carried out correctly and assist in resolving queries or issues with the local market

Manages the Monthly/Quarterly/Annual deliveries in terms of Statutory Reporting, Transfer Pricing, Statistical Reporting, between the fulfilling of other local Requirements and Taxes

Responsible for all matters related to the local Tax Authorities
Qualifications
- University degree, preferably in accounting/ business/ finance/economics.Post-graduate degree is preferred.
- >5-8 years of Finance experience
- Experienced in ensuring tax and accounting compliance
- Fluent English
- In-depth knowledge of local tax and accounting practices

- timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting
- maintaining compliance with Group, IFRS and local statutory requirements
- identifying and capturing opportunities for process and efficiency improvements
The Finance function overall aims to ensure business decisions are grounded in sound financial analysis and processes that drive robust financial accountability. Moreover, the finance function provides analysis and insight for management to prioritize the allocation of resources for value creation. In its role as business partner, the finance function ensures the company keeps continuous focus on compliance, control and risk management to manage the company’s (financial, processes, compliance, business etc.) risks and meet the requirements of governmental and other regulatory bodies, as well as the internal regulation frameworks.
