Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance & Controlling Manager to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for overseeing all financial controlling activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting decision-making processes and optimizing financial performance across the manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational plans. Perform detailed variance analysis between actual and budgeted financial results, providing insightful explanations and actionable recommendations. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to drive business performance and continuous improvement. Cost Controlling & Management: Oversee cost accounting for manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of production costs, variances, and inventory levels. Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize profitability, focusing on areas such as labor, material, overheads, and waste. Conduct cost analyses for new products or processes and support pricing strategies to ensure competitive and profitable product offerings. Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for manufacturing operations. Present financial results to senior management and provide comprehensive explanations of performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and trends. Maintain compliance with local accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Business Partnering: Act as a trusted business partner to the operations and production teams, providing financial guidance and support in decision-making processes. Work closely with other departments (e.g., Operations, Sales, Procurement, and HR) to ensure alignment and drive business goals. Provide financial insights to optimize inventory management, production scheduling, and resource allocation. Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to improve financial and controlling processes, with a focus on increasing efficiency, accuracy, and automation. Drive initiatives to enhance financial systems and tools, improving reporting capabilities and data transparency. Implement and manage internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure the integrity of financial data, and reduce operational risk. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a small team of financial analysts, ensuring their professional growth and fostering a collaborative work environment. Oversee performance evaluations, provide feedback, and encourage continuous learning and development. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or similar professional qualification is a plus. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial management, controlling, or accounting, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage a team.
