SUMMARY OF ROLE
We are currently looking for an experienced and analytical Finance Director with strong financial skills to drive our financial operations and improve financial performance.
The ideal candidate should possess strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, excellent communication, and strategic thinking.
The main duties for the Finance Director will consist of overseeing internal controls, implementing new strategies, setting financial targets, monitor the performance and efficiency of the department and managing tax compliance according to the Romanian law.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Partner
- Provide complete analysis and financial forecasts to General Manager and European CFO.
- Lead the budget preparation activity and monitor the execution;
- Implement future strategies in accordance to Emerson’s development plans;
Finance Organization Development
- Partner with Business Units Finance Manager;
- Identify, develop talent and set the carier path within Finance Organization;
US GAAP Reporting .
- Provide quidance and support to the finance team to ensure quality and timely completion of the Cluj Shared Services Organizatipn General Ledgers, reviewing and approving the final HFM financial reports.
- Dealing with any reporting queries from European HQ.
Quarterly POR and budget reporting
- Provide guidance to the finance team to ensure the timely and correct completion of the quarterly POR’s for the Cluj Shared Services Organization.
Internal Controls
- Point of contact for internal auditors.
- Ensure all financial processes and tasks are completed within the Internal Control parameters and comply with the Romanian legislation.
- Develop, update and implement internal procedures to ensure proper and efficient internal financial control.
Statutory Reporting / Audit
- Point of contact for external auditors and RO Authorities.
- Provide guidance and support for the statutory reporting process to ensure a timely and efficient process in preparing the statutory financials for Emerson SRL.
- Coordinate the entire statutory audit process and interface with internal Business Units and external auditor to ensure timely and quality Financial Statements.
- Responsible for other statutory reporting activities.
Tax & Transfer Price
- Ownership of the Tax reporting, including the quarterly update of Emerson One Source tax system to support the US tax calculations reported by Cluj Shared Services Organization in Hyperion.
- Provide guidance to the Tax Specialist and interface with internal Business Units and external Corporate Income Tax adviser, to ensure timely and quality annual RO Tax reporting.
- Provide guidance to the Tax Specialist and interface with internal Business Units and external Transfer Price adviser, to ensure timely and quality annual Transfer Price File update.
Treasury
- Provide guidance to the Senior Treasury Coordinator and interface with European Treasury Department, to ensure efficient cash management activities.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) preferably big 4 practice background.
- 10+ years in Accounting/Finance with exposure to multiple GAAPs, treasury and tax reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent Presentation Skills.
- Strong aptitude for leading applications, identification & adaption of other technology tools.
- Dependable and self-directed, capable of effectively managing their workload.
- Strong English language skills are essential
