Functional Safety Engineer - Hardware Development in Ghimbav

For our location in Ghimbav we are currently looking for aFunctional Safety Engineer - Hardware DevelopmentResponsabilities: Develop the HW architecture concepts together with the System/SW engineer including the safety aspects;Develop and customize HW safety concepts for HMI products;Collect, analyze and specify safety requirements;Support and review in safety analysis (e.g. FMEDA, FTA);Support functional safety verification and validation;Review strategical Safety Plan;Support and review technical safety concepts;Assess implementation risks and decide about possible solutions;Analyze complex problems in own projects and find right technical resolution;Present Functional Safety status of the respective projects to team lead;Provide inputs for improving the Functional Safety Process to team lead;Use own judgment in selecting appropriate, state-of-the-art methods and techniques;Resolving issues using practical experience as well as coming with new solutions;Communicate and coordinate others’ technical tasks, to work in one or more projects simultaneously and independently. REQUIREMENTS: University degree in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics and Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or comparable;3+ years of experience in HW development;Knowledge in Safety Architecture concepts and Safety Mechanisms;Demonstrated knowledge about safety analysis methods (FMEDA, FTA Methods);Ability to read the hardware schematics and to figure out the critical paths;Experience in Development of automotive Systems (in best case Hardware/Software, Know-how in HMI is an advantage);Knowledge about ISO 26262 - Certified Functional Safety Professional or similar Certification is of advantage; Process Knowledge acc. A-SPICE or similar of advantage;Experience with working in a customer facing role is an advantage;Strong analytical and problem solving skills;Excellent communication skills with professional and positive attitude, ability to work in a global development team;Willingness to undertake business trips abroad for trainings and project work;Fluent in English (German can be an advantage).
