The position is for a DevOps type role with database administration activities. The responsibilities for the team include: Maintain and Operate the multiple environments, running on multi-platform and over multi database infrastructure Ensure the environments are operational and available most of the time to avoid downtime Elaborate and adjust the backup strategy Build a security chart to ensure the data integrity Create automation and monitoring Performance tuning for internal and client database Provide database support for Engineering team and Global Services team Work with developer to optimize data flow and database activities Commitment, stability, responsibility Maintenance of Linux, Solaris, Windows systems Help with system administration, configuration and troubleshooting for Invest application servers and components Ability to respond to various customer requests, being able to understand the issue reported by reproducing them on the local environments, searching for potential workarounds to minimize client downtimes, perform technical investigation of the issues reported, providing adequate solutions where feasible and/or complete analysis details to R&D teams Find optimizations whenever possible to have a repeatable increasing the predictability and reduce the dependency on IT tasks Your accountability will include preparation of VM & databases management. Propose methods (scripting) to identify similar issues or ease the validation of the solution Personal requirements and skills 3+ years of experience as an IT consultant or database administrator or similar role Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and basic C/C++/C#, python, windows shell Good English skills Fast learner and ability to adapt and switch between tasks and systems Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on project’s success Pro-active attitude and very good organizational skills: ability to manage urgent requests on the Team-IT side and to also progress with longer-term projects in the other areas Working with an automation mindset ; making sure that steps and actions can be tracked, reproduced and that we can improve each process with written know-how and/or automatic scripting Scripting and Job Scheduler systems: Batch/Powershell including automation of tasks and definition of job scheduling and monitoring. Advanced skills for transformation platform (XSLT, JSON, ...) and exposure to integration with standard market protocols (FIX, MQ, ...) administrator or user expert on windows platforms and related monitoring tools (Hardware resources, or debug information) Problem solving and analytical skills Team player Good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills Work Location The role reports into the Bucharest Fusion Invest Team Lead or the Global Head of Fusion Invest Practice Onsite (Finastra or clients) with the team
