The roles and responsibilities of this position encompass of plastics, etc. Primarily focus on qualification of supplier and manage the performance, manage localization projects FAI and MVP etc. Experience manages plastics suppliers and ability to develop supplier quality improvement for lowest cost and continue supply.Detailed Description Responsible to perform supplier quality system audit e.g. ISO and ISO Responsible for supplier process audit and assessment Responsible to review customer expectation and drive alternate lower cost solution Responsible for localization activity as assigned Manage NPI project related to plastics and metal machining/stamping assigned and meet target dateline Manage the SPCN from the supplier independently and communicate with other team members Ensure supplier complete on time e.g. PPAP documentation, FAI etc Responsible to support MVP cost reduction as assigned Responsible to drive supplier performance management e.g. DPPM, SQIP etc Any other related to department requirement Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Strong knowledge of interpret technical drawings, GDT, DFM, FMEA, GR&R Strong knowledge or experience of ISO , ISO , PPAP is a plus 8+ years working experience in plastics. Knowledge of metal machining/stamping is added advantage. Basic knowledge in plastic tooling, and fabrication. Adequate development of design validation plan and review / approve the supplier report Strong knowledge of problem solving skill and negotiation with supplier for cost reduction. Experience in managing project, review control plan, qualify FAI to mass production Ability to drive supplier continuous improvement Physical Demands Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc. Duties may require periodic sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
