Job overview:
The Hardware engineer in the Test Automation Cluster will be responsible of management and maintenance of test equipment and also take care of new requests for hardware and distribution based on needs.
Responsibilities:
- Hardware maintenance of existing testing setups which are used by the Test Automation teams
- Hardware updates and adaptions of the existing testing setups which are used by the Test Automation teams
- Hardware configuration of new testing setups for the Test Automation teams
- Software recoveries for ECU's that did not update with standard procedure
- Software updates of ECU's on remote test benches (VTBs) based on needs and availability
- Maintain a good overview/inventory of existing stock of equipment
- Distribute equipment based on needs of the teams ensuring efficient usage of all existing hardware
- Document and inventory for all received packages containing hardware parts
- Gather and centralize all the hardware requests and address them to the proper hardware provider
- Document how-to's for the SW updates (recoveries + normal) and also for the hardware configurations
