Additional information can be found by visiting .Your responsibilitiesReview, approve and provide feedback on schematics, PCB placements and layout requirements• Implement PCB layout accordingly• Create the PCB layout files, such as ODB++, Geber (GRB) and fabrication drawing and layer stack-up information per Board Solutions documentation standards• Release PCB design files in NXP’s Product Data Management database (Agile)• Utilize the existing NXP Component Library (NCL) to reuse design methodologies and leverage existing designs and components for future projects and collaborate with CAD Library team to implement NCL improvements.• Work proactively with external PCB fabrication shops to optimize cost, quality, on time delivery and ensure fabrication requirements of a project• Conduct fabrication readiness review and ensure NPI process adherence for all CAD activities• Provide training to others in tools and the use of NCL library• Improve core competence in layout practices and CAD tools and technologies• Participate in peer reviews of CAD library and PCB layouts to improve design processes• Engage with IC packaging team to optimize package pinouts for performance, routability, and cost• Identify and communicate layout risks to the project team and escalate issues to manageYour teamBy joining our team, beside an attractive salary package, you’ll have the opportunity to work as part of an innovative, high-performance team in a secure, pleasant and dynamic work environment.Hardware Solutions is an organization in NXP’s Chief Technology Office, which is dedicated to the design and manufacturing of electronic systems and boards for NXP internal engineering needs, as well as external customer projects. As the world leader in secure connectivity solutions for embedded applications, we are driving innovation in the secure connected vehicle, end-to-end security & privacy and smart connected solutions markets.Your profile• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, product & industrial design, or related field• Minimum 5 years experience in PCB CAD design or equivalent working experience in a PCB, design/manufacturing environment.• Proficiency with Cadence tools (OrCAD for schematics / Allegro PCB Designer) is mandatory• Experience with other EDA environments (Mentor, Altium, Eagle, etc.) is a plus• Experience in ball map optimization with IC packaging focus• Experience designing high-layer count (>12) PCBs with multi-lamination construction. Solid understanding of dielectric materials and electronics components in general• Experience with creating symbols and library parts using library tools• Understand PCB and PCBA manufacturing process and quality requirements.
