Position Available: Infrastructure Support Analyst Location: Hertfordshire Salary: c. £42,Experience needed: We are looking for someone who has experience in managing and auditing IT hardware & software assets, while also maintaining and managing the databases used to track them (asset management, configuration management and licensing). Due to the requirements of the role, you would need to hold active Security Clearance (SC or DV). About the role: The successful candidate will work with the Service Manager and report to the Solution Owner, to provide Hardware and Software configuration support. The primary purpose of the role is to:Audit/manage the Programme assetsAdminister the Asset Database and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)Administer the Licence Management databaseAct as the Programme's focal point for hardware and software acquisition through liaison with the SSL Procurement Team Job Responsibilities include:Establish and implement an Asset and Configuration Management function using best practicesOversee daily management of hardware and software asset informationEnsure accuracy and integrity of the asset databaseMaintain key asset details, including location, quantities, and identifiersCoordinate with Programme, SSL, and customer personnel to meet asset management needsManage the hardware bill of materials and coordinate asset procurementProvide monthly performance metrics and reports to support SLAs and demonstrate asset management efficiencyConduct audits to verify accuracy and consistency in equipment managementAdhere to Programme and customer constraints, including security and best practicesWhat we need from you: Experience of operating service support function(s) within an enterprise environment.IT Hardware and software auditing and managementKnowledge of procurement processesExperience working with third party suppliersInventory Management knowledgeDesirable:Understanding of IT hardware, software, and systemsExperience working within SLA frameworks and monitoring KPIsKnowledge of ITIL Service Management processesProficient in asset and configuration management tools and techniquesExperience managing hardware and software assets in medium to large environmentsIf you would like to know more details about the position or want to register your interest, hit apply below.
