Job Description We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Team Lead to guide a dedicated team in delivering innovative I&C design solutions for large-scale industrial projects, such as wastewater treatment plants, energy facilities, and critical infrastructure. This role requires a strong leader with project management expertise, capable of directing the team through complex instrumentation and control system designs while meeting project goals and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Key Responsibilities: · Lead and oversee the I&C design team, setting objectives, managing workloads, and supporting team members to deliver accurate and effective instrumentation and control solutions. · Act as the primary liaison for project stakeholders, including clients and internal departments, ensuring clear communication on team progress, project expectations, and milestones. · Develop and monitor project timelines and budgets for the team, proactively addressing challenges to ensure adherence to schedules and deliverables. · Conduct design reviews to confirm compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, ensuring project designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements. · Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, growth-focused environment that encourages professional development. · Collaborate with other department leads (e.g., electrical, mechanical) to coordinate project activities, ensuring smooth integration of I&C designs with other project elements. · Facilitate effective use of I&C design tools within the team, ensuring consistency and precision in documentation and output. · Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and innovation in the team’s design practices. · Provide regular project status updates and performance reports to senior management and stakeholders, addressing potential issues promptly to keep the team on track. Qualifications Minimum of 8 years of experience as a senior engineer, preferably with experience in supervising or managing a design team within industrial sectors such as energy or wastewater treatment. · Proven leadership skills with a background in managing a focused, single-team environment, working collaboratively to meet project goals and timelines. · Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including low and medium voltage systems, with the ability to conduct high-level technical reviews. · Proficiency in relevant design and project management tools, focusing on team guidance for best practices in tool usage. · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. · Highly organized, with strong project management skills to maintain oversight on deadlines, deliverables, and quality control. · A results-driven and collaborative mindset focused on continuous improvement in design processes and team development.
