Job Description This is a remote position. This hybrid role is designed for an individual capable of overseeing the agency’s technology roadmap while ensuring the smooth delivery of IT projects. The IT Project Manager & Developer will be responsible for setting the technological vision of the agency, managing day-to-day IT operations, and leading the delivery of key digital initiatives. This role reports directly to the COO and works closely with other department heads. Key Responsibilities: Technology Strategy & Vision: Develop and implement a short, medium & long-term technology strategy that aligns with the company’s goals. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that can improve the agency’s services and operations. Provide guidance to the executive team on tech-related business decisions. Project Management: Manage all phases of IT project delivery, from initiation to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Implement cross-functional new software, upgrade systems, and manage migrations. Learn & understand existing processes and look ways to optimize via technology Team & Vendor Management: For the Future, build and mentor the IT team, providing clear goals and career development opportunities. Manage & select relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners to ensure high-quality service delivery (and cybersecurity compliance with 23 NYCRR 500). Negotiate contracts and oversee the procurement of new technology solutions. IT Infrastructure & Security: Oversee the agency’s IT infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and aligned with best practices. Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive client data. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards. Operational Excellence: Continuously improve operational efficiency by implementing new technologies and optimizing current systems. Streamline processes and workflows using automation and other digital tools. Collaborate with different departments to ensure IT solutions support their goals and operations. Development Role: Design and develop new software systems, test, and deploy applications, and troubleshoot existing software. Test, debug, and maintain software systems, continuously improving performance and addressing user feedback. Requirements 4+ years of experience in IT Project Management roles, with a proven track record as an IT Project Manager. In-depth knowledge of project management frameworks, such as Agile & Scrum Strong experience with cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure management. Experience with enterprise software implementations (ERP, CRM, etc.) in a service-based industry. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is highly desirable.
