Your responsibilitiesLay the foundations of, and drive towards, a high performing architectural team. Attract and develop new talentLiaise with senior business stakeholders and senior IT managers to gather and discuss business roadmaps, requirements and challenges as well as proposing new or enhanced solutions and services bringing more business value.Be a proactive and effective member of the R&D IT leadership team, helping to define and execute on the R&D business and IT strategyThought leader, shape and communicate the architectural vision with respect to R&D IT tools and servicesChair the architectural board, communicating and mandating the important architectural decisions, Solution Designs and tool selections. Ensure that internal architectural and technology standards, processes and practices are continuously improvedDrive technology innovation, research, total quality, design for test and manufacturing. Be adaptable to, and welcoming the opportunities of change and innovation.Your teamYou will be part of the global R&D IT team, this team is developing and supporting all the R&D IT tools, applications and infrastructures worldwide. This team is pivotal in several strategic initiatives of R&D business and IT and with that an important part of shaping the future, growth and success of NXP !Your profileTo be successful in this role you have:A minimum of 10 yrs. of experience in a technical leadership role in a large size / multinational companyA good understanding and proven experience in (enterprise-) architecture: stakeholder management, requirements gathering, architecture decision making, driving quality improvementsA good understanding and proven experience in managing teams with highly skilled professionalsA DevOps mindset and culture aiming for built-in quality, automation first and systems thinking.A good understanding and experience with total quality concepts like root cause problem solving methods, SIPOC and FMEAFurthermore, you are:Having a university degree in Computer Science, Electronics or similarAn ambitious and outgoing personality who enjoys a fast paced technology environment and working in a global team.An innovative and ‘out-of-the box’ thinker, being able to bring that to life and make others enthusiastic for your ideas.Strongly motivated to apply and promote design / system thinking and total qualityAt NXP in the Netherlands, we are proud to have received the Randstad Award - Most attractive Employer - & , which is presented exclusively only to the top of employers in the Netherlands.
