The focus of ING Tech Romania (established in 2015 as a global hub for technology) has been on building strategic key capabilities, such as developing and continuously improving common IT solutions that can be shared, replicated and reused across the other ING countries.

The Mission
Following AGILE SCRUM methodology, you will be responsible for the technical guidance and support for your less experienced colleagues with hands-on focus. Together with your team you are building and maintaining the OnePAM API layer that facilitates access to MDM. The MDM application contains all ING European parties and is the source of PSD processes for person/party data. We are responsible for the maintainability and distribute the data keeping always in mind the interests of the end customer. You will be working in close co-operation with stakeholders (feature squads) and you will be actively participating in the extension of the platform’s capabilities by deploying and configuring new features, components and releases in a controlled way. You take initiative in coordinating dependencies with other teams and you feel responsible for the quality and availability of your software.
Your day to day
Help with the recruitment process (attend the technical interviews) Technical focal point for all complex items that the team is facing with Stimulate a culture of learning by doing (incremental) Provide the controls and information on what we are improving e.g. Performance management Determine actions to avoid recurrent problems Stimulate a continuous delivery culture in terms of services and working conditions Support the applications in production environment that are under your team’s portfolio What you bring to the team
Knowledge and experience:
Experience in developing applications using: Java SE(8/11), JPA, Spring 5.x/Springboot 2.x Relational (DB2) and non-relational databases Cassandra) Experience with Scala and/or other JVM languages is considered a plus Experience with JAXB is considered a plus Experience with creating/maintenance of RESTfull APIs based on Spring MVC/ Jax-RS(Jersey) Experience with writing unit/integration/e2e tests. Familiar with continuous delivery, continuous integration, code quality (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory,Sonar); Experience with using Tomcat/Tcserver; Experience with container orchestration( K8s) and container managed platforms( Openshift/Istio) is considered a plus; Master's degree level or equivalent through experience Proven experience on a similar role for at least 4-5 years ; Experienced in working in a complex environment, Agile methods and Software development frameworks; Strong delivery track record; Familiar with the DevOps concept. Experience with DevOps teams and Ansible deployment tool is a plus; Experience with distributed teams is a plus; You have a 24x7 mind-set, and are willing to participate in a stand by shift, knowing that ING operates a 24x7 business for its customers.
