Junior Build Automation Engineer in Bucuresti

About the Role The Junior Build Automation Engineer is responsible for developing automated solutions for merging different Software Components making them act as a whole in an embedded system. The Junior Build Automation Engineer will perform the software integration and feature development tasks in close contact with different domains and will handle the build and the delivery of the compiled SW to the relevant project stakeholders. He/she will be involved in the complete SW Integration workflow focusing on infrastructure & process automation in order to reduce maintenance time and increase quality.What You Will DoBuild, integrate and deliver Software components from contributing parties based on the release plan in an automated fashion (using CI/CD and DevOps concepts & tools)Develop effective, scalable python code for build automation including, but not limited to: packaging, signing, software update and software industrialization solutionsIntegrate automated build steps in a CI/CD environmentTest and debug developed solutionsImprove functionality of existing systemsCoordinate with internal and external teams to understand the requirements and provide the needed technical solutionsAssess and prioritize feature requestsContribute in continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) framework developmentDebug build and script failures and communicate results to proper domains or provide bugfixesDocument implemented solutions, workflows, methodologies and processesParticipate in project related meeting and provide job related reportsWhat You NeedBachelor’s degree in Computer science or other relevant (IT related) specializationGood English communication skills both written and verbalExtended experience with a scripting/programming language (Python, Bash)1+ years of experience in software engineering ( a profile in devops, software integration, release engineering or sw development is considered a plus)Good knowledge of Version Control Systems (GIT - Gerrit, Stash)Good knowledge of Build Tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) and of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery conceptsGood knowledge of ticketing tools (IBM ALM, Jira or similar)Basic knowledge of Linux OSStrong analytical and problem – solving skillsGood organizational skills and detail – oriented mindsetExceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to document comprehensively and conciselyWhat is Nice to HaveGood knowledge and understanding of compilation and linkage processExperience with Android systemsKnowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE)Experience working in Automotive embedded systemsWhat Makes You EligibleWillingness travel (0-20% of time) depending on the project necessitiesFluent in commercial and technical EnglishHigh sense of responsibilityAttention to details and good analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlines#LI-Hybrid#LI-GB1
