Your RoleWe are a part of S&P Global's Markit Intelligence team that provides global pricing and reference data, indices and information services across multiple assetclasses. Our service delivers detailed liquidity metrics and transparent information about pricing sources and methodologies, with flexible delivery options tailored to the needs of our clients.What's in it for youThis role will have responsibility to understand the overall architecture and an opportunity to work on developing, improving and optimizing various Fixed Income Pricing applications as per the Pricing strategic roadmap. Responsibilities Implementation of financial services software using enterprise Java, DBMSs (SQL and No-SQL), AWS Cloud and modern web technologies.Work closely with analysts to gather business requirements, develop and deliver highly scalable and numerate financial applications within a highly fucntional Agile teamQuickly understand system architecture and become involved in design and development, taking ownership of assigned modules to drive projects to completion.As well as delivering software of high quality, candidate needs to work towards the team’s goals of high test-coverage, automated and frequent deployment, and regular cycles of code delivery, testing and feedback.Your expertiseB.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.4+ years professional programming experienceSubstantial Java development experience is essential, including Object Oriented Design Patterns. Strong core Java 8 skills (with good understanding of multi threading and performance tuning) Python knowledge is good to have as it will help with quick onboarding and reduced training time.
