Software Security Architect - Financial Services - Permanent - UK (Hybrid - London) Software Security Architect urgently sought by a leading Global FS brand.I am working with a high growth, multibillion-pound Financial Services customer transforming the way institutions deliver smart wealth management solutions. A truly global business, who are going through exciting plans diversifying their offering into new geographic locations.With the landscape of Technology consistently changing, it puts the spotlight on Security and the need to have a robust defence safeguarding against the constant emergence of threat. With that in mind, my client are building out their Security function with the ability to support the business going through large scale transformation.As a Software Security Architect, you will be leading on Software Architecture with a focus on Security Controls and ability to lead teams in Secure Software design.Role:Develop and maintain the organization's software security architectureDesign and implement secure software development practices and proceduresProvide technical guidance and oversight to developers and stakeholdersConduct security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the software development life cycleKeep up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to inform software security strategiesEvaluate and recommend software security tools and technologiesTo work with development teams to deliver a secure software development life cycle, a key component of which will be establishing a secure and auditable route to production using continuous delivery techniques.Work with development teams to agree standards for secure development practises for technical content.Raise the level of knowledge of secure coding practises within development teams through pair programming and other forms of developer education. This is a hands-on role which will involve significant time spent pair programming as part of development teams.Implement secure development standards as automated checks integrated into a continuous delivery build pipeline Skills:Proven experience as a software security development engineer, ideally in the Financial Services industry.Experience of agile methodologies and DevOps processes.Extensive experience in software development, Scripting and project management.Detailed technical knowledge of techniques, standards and state-of-the art capabilities for authentication and authorisation, applied cryptography, security vulnerabilities and remediation.Excellent software development experience in the following core languages: .NET.and JavaWorking knowledge of designing, securing and integrating applications/systems within cloud environments.Experience using system monitoring tools (ie LogRhythm) and automated testing frameworks.Experience in leading security incident response including identification, preservation and interpretation of computer evidence.Working knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services and REST-based Service Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.Experience of relational databases (ie MSSQL, MySQL).Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows.
