LPG Ship Movements Commercial and Industry Analytical Expert in Bucuresti

Your RoleAs a key member of IHS Markit’s Midstream Oil & NGL Insights and Consulting team your core responsibility will be continuous ship tracking from various data sources, creating daily data records for NGL products’ cargo movements, and maintaining, supporting and delivering IHS Markit’s Waterborne LIVE (LPG and Ethane) Commodity Intelligence subscription work product and related deliverables. The subscription work product and deliverables include analyzing and providing insights in relation to waterborne LPG (propane and butane) and ethane market fundamental trends.These market fundamental trends are determined from the responsibilities and tasks noted above and highlighted by reporting on monthly lifting volumes, product pricing, freight rates, and ethane, propane and butane trade and ship movement events and impacts from situations and events at the load and delivery ports and terminals. This subscription work product is closely integrated with and is part of IHS Markit’s comprehensive NGL product portfolio. The individual will report to the Vice President of IHS Markit’s Midstream Oil & NGL Insights and Consulting team, the Vice President has overall responsibility for the NGL product portfolio.In addition to the above the associate will be support all Midstream Oil & NGL Insights and Consulting team members’ assigned to and responsible for Waterborne LIVE LPG and Ethane work product ensuring all data and content is delivered at the highest quality and on-time (per the Waterborne LIVE LPG and Ethane product/service delivery schedule). General DutiesMaintain, vet, analyze, create, and update NGL lifting and voyage records through our proprietary data collection and database systemsContinuously improve recording, analysis, and reporting of lifting and voyage recordsMaintain and improve the work product delivered through existing channels to our clients and the delivery methods and presentation of the work product.Provide market insights and key trends related to NGL cargo liftings, LPG trade flows, global LPG benchmark contract and spot prices, spot market LPG netback values, US Gulf Coast terminalling fees, VLGC freight rates, and spot fixturesPresent IHS Markit’s NGL trade and related forecasts and insights internally and externallySupport IHS Markit’s OMDC business unit and adjacent businesses including IHS Markit’s Maritime & TradeContribute to the financial performance of Oil Markets, Midstream, Downstream, and Chemicals (OMDC) business unit through the execution and delivery of subscription products and consulting projects described aboveSpecific Job DutiesDeliver and support Waterborne LIVE LPG and Ethane subscribers and support client requests and support subscriptions sales and renewalsDevelop and deliver PowerPoint and written reports for Waterborne LIVE LPG and Ethane subscribers including insights and dataAssist subscription clients and questions and clarifications and advisory assistanceDemonstrate strong familiarity with prevailing cost components for the applicable supply chainContribute to consulting engagements including developing PowerPoint and written reports to summarize findings for clientsAbout YouRequired EducationBachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or business preferredEducation in the data science field or certifications in data scienceExperience and SkillsPrevious experience in NGL or energy related field is a plusGood knowledge of MS applications required (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and ability to use effectively including familiarity with interrogating relevant databasesData science experience and/or education and/or certification is a plusLanguage(s) - English, however additional languages are a plusStrong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail, including relevant language skills as appropriateOrganization and problem-solving skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentMust be flexible with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all coworkers and must be capable of working independentlyAbility to think through questions and/or problems and independently provide solutionsSelf-motivated and focused on delivering quality products-----------------------------------------------Inclusion and diversity are critical to the success of IHS Markit, and we actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
