About the Role:The Software Integration Manager will manage a team responsible for software integration and devops activities on embedded automotive systems. Your team will ensure the fastest deliveries of high quality software builds for the biggest European Automotive OEMs' infotainment and telematics programs. This role has betwen 10 and 20 direct reports.Job Responsibilities:Lead and enable the regional Software Integration team comprising of multiple teams of Build & Integration, DevOps and Build Automation engineers (15+ FTEs) in an Agile environment leveraging advanced engineering practicesSupervise and coordinate the activity of the teams, ensuring the teams’ members are able to work at their maximum potential, with the highest focus and according to established prioritiesProvide guidance to direct reports comprising of software engineers and supervisors (team leaders, functional owners)Understand individual potential and needs as well as build strong personal development plans for each team memberEnsure clarity around the priorities and objectives for the entire functional area of Build & IntegrationGenerate and implement process improvementsApply the appropriate measurements and metrics for the projects within the context of team activitiesTake ownership of automotive standards compliance processes under your team’s functional areaDefine, plan, deploy and manage the efforts for any given assignmentWork closely with HR to execute a "people strategy" that aligns with Harman Automotive business and strategyConduct regular performance review sessions with each team memberReport to local Senior Manager for Build & Automation (BAT)Build and maintain relationships with other business leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needsPeople Responsibilities:Ensure psychological safety on your teamsBuild an environment of trust, high performance and engagement by establishing clear goals and a commitment to individual growth and recognitionEncourage a feedback culture and open expression of ideasGive regular and clear feedback around the individual's performanceInspire and mentor engineers and supervisorsWhat You Need:University degree, preferably BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalentMultiple years of experience as a Team Lead or Engineering Manager, managing small to mid-size teams (5-10 engineers) and proven people management skillsMultiple years of experience in software development using agile methodsSeveral years of experience of establishing CI/CD toolchains and operating themExcellent analytical skills and an independent, structured, and target-oriented approach to workPersonal initiative, commitment, and resilienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to present to both technical and non-technical personsAbility to train and coach engineersExperience in working with (external) customers/OEMsExcellent English language skills both written and verbal.
