The Role A Material Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the flow of materials within the organization. This role ensures that materials are received, stored and distributed efficiently and accurately, supporting production planning and overall operations. Key Accountabilities Ensure the secure reception of raw materials, parts, and tools. Conduct an initial visual inspection and request extended quality control if necessary. Confirm Goods Receipt in the system according to the Purchase Order. Quarantine materials if any non-conformities are detected. Store raw materials, substances, parts, and tools following the manufacturer's recommended instructions. Maintain the inventory. Prepare and deliver materials, parts, and tools to the agreed-upon Place of Delivery (as close as possible to the required location) or Point of Use. Arrange for the delivery of materials to external subcontractors and other shipyards. Monitor lead times and delivery schedules to prevent production delays. Seek opportunities to enhance material handling and storage processes. Employ technology and software to improve efficiency and accuracy. Operate within the e-transport system. Skills & experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or logistics. Experience with ERP system; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions. May require occasional lifting and moving materials; Good level of English.
