Mechanical Engineer II in Oradea

Purpose Statement: The mechanical engineer position will provide a design creation, fabrication, and implementation expert for all mechanical process needed to support the site. The role will emphasize the use of mathematical models, CAD tool integration, and engineering theory-based solutions to improve the manufacturing design services required by Plexus customers.Key Job Accountabilities:Support new and existing process development, implementation, and controls in support of Plexus and customer specific needs at the site.Support process/Equipment qualifications and validations of both new and existing processes.Support cost reduction projects in regards to mechanical assembly processes.Support (if requested) Mechanical assembly failure analysis and provide adequate engineering report (DMAIC/A3/QW).Support DFx development on new and existing customer projects and RFQ's.Additional Accountabilities:Lead the development of mechanical components and concepts for manufacturing tooling and fixtures using the appropriate EDA tools.Manage project documentation in accordance with established change management procedures.Demonstrate proficiency using shop equipment and inspection methods to ensure products meet design requirements.Support the transition of products to manufacturing.Determine and document customer’s product and/or system requirements to determine the objectives for product integration into manufacturing processes.Lead the evaluation and improvement of mechanical solutions, tools, and methodologies to ensure best practices are used throughout the site Engineering Services group and site as a whole.Demonstrate the ability to work independently with ambiguous requirements in order to successfully complete tasks.Assist management in the development of proposals to ensure accurate technical, budgetary, and schedule content are achieved.Acknowledges and complies with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards provided in the procedures and instructions that are specific to each field, documentation that underlies the proper functioning of the integrated management system of quality, environment, safety and occupational health.Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business.Additional duties as assigned.Education/Experience Qualifications:A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferredTwo (2) years of related experience is required; Three (3) or more years of related experience is preferred.An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.Other Qualifications: Advance computer skills (CAD Systems Solid Works, ProE, AutoCAD, etc.)Advanced Mechanical AptitudeOperational and Systems KnowledgeMaterial Science KnowledgeThermal Dynamics KnowledgeTechnical Judgment and Problem SolvingCommunication and TeamworkInfluence and Negotiation for Change ManagementVerbal and Written Communication skillsGeneral office equipment and materialsWork Environment:The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
